Yes, Terrell Owens has signed a contract to play football in Dallas, but not with the Dallas Cowboys. Earlier last week Terrell Owens signed a contract to play with a team from Allen Texas with the Indoor Football League.
Owens will be playing for the Allen Wranglers which are in a 16 team league known as the Indoor Football League. Owens who thought that by this time he would have been playing for the NFL, has settled for something less prestigious. Owens held an open workout in October in hopes a few teams would come and pick him up. Unfortunately, for the player that is number two in the NFL for most all time receiving yards, no one showed up.
This season was a complete wash out for Owens who did not play in a single game after he tore his ACL, as well as the fact no one offered him a contract to play in the NFL. No reports have come out with how much Owens was expecting to receive for playing for the Wranglers, but Owens will get a partial stake in ownership with the team. Owens agent also declined to comment to any major media outlets.
Another question mark was if Owens at the age of 37 was going to play in all of the games or just the home games. Either way, the Wranglers will kick off their season on February 25th, which is a home game against Wichita.
At the very least Owens has brought into a lot of media attention to both the IFL and the Allen Wranglers.
