Qatar Steals World Cup From U.S.A.

The United States lost its bid for the 2022 World Cup to be held right here in the U.S. to a small country named Qatar. The first question you might ask is, where in the world is Qatar?! Well, I myself found myself looking it up on google maps. Where I found the island is no more than 50 miles wide at its widest part and and roughly 100 miles long. Its a little peninsula that juts off of Saudi Arabia into the Arabian sea.
Now that we know where it is, the question comes how could such a small nation win such a big event? And how over the United States? Well the fact of the matter is that this small nation had slowly been creeping up as the favorites for the past couple months. Qatar in fact is one of the richest nations in the world, and because of this they had promised FIFA they would build some of the finest athletic complexes. One concern that FIFA has that Qatar matched was that Qatar during the summer can reach upwards of 130 degrees. This surely is no climate for soccer, but Qatar stated they would build outdoor air-conditioned stadiums. Now that is something that should be interesting to see. Qatar had a drive to win the hosting of the World Cup. They had more support than the United States did. In fact I would bet not many people even knew we were trying to host the World Cup. Not only this, but FIFA likes to go against what everyone is telling them to do. Everyone told FIFA how much money they would make in the United States if they had it there, and how great it would be. And how its obvious that the World Cup should be hosted by the United States. This in its self was probably enough to hand the World Cup to Qatar.
Of course I am obviously bummed that the World Cup will not be held here in the United States, but than again does it really effect me that much? No, because chances are I would not have the money to afford a ticket to a game. So overall maybe I am glad that Qatar won the hosting of the World Cup, it should be interesting to see their soccer pitches they make, oh and it also will stop me from spending hundreds of dollars in 2022 that I probably should not be spending than anyway!
